I saw this movie at the cinemas when it came out and I wasn't matured enough to get it. It gets better with every rewatch.
Uno dei film più leggendari degli anni 60, con Peter Fonda e Jack Nicholson.
This movie scared me crapless I was about 7 lol but rewatching as a adult it’s appreciated much more
RIP Donald Sutherland… ❤😢❤
I used to watch Creature Features hosted by Bob Wilkins way back in 70s. He showed this exact trailer and it scared the crap out of me! Every time it came on after that first experience, I would jet out of the living room. All I had to hear was the rapid heart beating and I was gone. My older brothers would start cracking up. Great memories.
For somebody all that The Barrens africa is not so far away across the globe. Technology - you see it in the bicycles and you see students outside the college playing with elastic rope. Hopefully you never had to be somebody new in new school, but not all schools are 12 year schools. Things like Aibo were not science fiction back then. Catching somebody falling with the parashoot 2:12.
Such a fabulous film. It's too intelligent a movie for the regular viewing public. It requires you to think. There are no special effects, it's character-lead and asks you to question life. Lost on most people.
Gotta say awesome film Easy rider

Who is the interviewer?
rewatched “yes, god, yes” yesterday and wanted to hear some more about karen and her relationship to the script. this interview is very heart warming, she really poured herself into the main character and the plot in such a delicate and meaningful manner. she’s very talented and seems super sweet!! hope to see more from her 🤍
Those poor innocent shoes!
"Sweet Charity" was Bob Fosse's film debut and remains underrated to this day. This was 1969 and studio couldn't have done a more-tone-deaf job of promoting what was already a very tough sell in the year of Easy Rider when audiences were sick of tinkly out-of-touch and mostly awful musicals like Hello Dolly and couldn't know that this was something pretty different. This trailer still does a terrible job of selling the movie, emphasizing "I'm a Brass Band" which is hokey out of context but works better in context. It should have emphasized the grungy background of a dime-a-dance palace with "Hey Big Spender" and the slightly Andy Warhol-influenced setting of the brillian "Rich Man's Frug" which has become somewhat viral over the years. The show was a Broadway adaptation that took Fellini's masterpiece, "Nights of Caberia" (a movie all humans should see) and turned a prostitute into a dance-hall hostess and otherwise softened the story, though Neil Simon did a very good job of making a solid entertainment and the music was good. Fosse re-Fellinized his film version to an extent but nobody quite realized how un-hip someone like Sammy Davis Jr. or even Shirley MacLaine had become with younger audiences. (Very unfair but youngsters were in a "don't trust anyone over 30" mode at that point.) Fosse's response to the movie's failure was "Cabaret" which put all in the music in the more realistic setting of the nightclub show and became a tremendous hit, which many expected to beat "The Godfather" for best picture. "Sweet Charity" might still seem hokey by comparison at times but it's delightful, contains some of Fosse's best work as a director/choreographer. Take this trailer knowing the studio was screwing up badly and see it for yourself!
How can I watch this movie or buy it in HD?
This is so good! I'm sad that RUclips redacted the 2001 audio. Doesn't make sense. I love the parts About HAL.
I felt hot just watching them all getting sweaty 😰
The animated rising zombie face trailer is much better.
This one terrified me, and I'd seen all the others. Brilliant filmmaking.
Don't call Shaun y mean don't call ed
I love this movie so much that I decorated my house with Gothic antiques and curtains exactly like this film. The production design is so detailed. You can look into the corners of the sets and see all types of detail .
Killer film. Caught it at MH6 this past weekend. Saw Jane Schoenbrun's earlier film on Kanopy a few years ago and was looking forward to this one, didn't disappoint.
Amy and Barbara look very similar.😊
❤🎉 Geeat.
Such a boring movie
glad you posted this! this Q&A was so fun to see in person, and jane is such an interesting interviewee.
Thank you for posting this!
This is gonna be a great day johnny, that scene isn't in the movie and can't find any info on it
I saw in another interview somewhere that 49,000 men in England were jailed for being homosexual between the 1850s and 1950s. It is just ludicrous to think of that today.
Where can i watch this movie ?
to think weed back then was weak as fuck too damn
Who’s here because of the pubity post with Giancarlo Esposito
The best first cope series i saw. The dynamic between Carl and Michael is incredible
"Valuable about society..."
Anyone know what this song is used at the start of the trailer?
Pass the spliff ... biatch
Professional and team oriented.
So awful it''s fantastic!
Mistrzu Romanie Polański dziękuję za to arcydzieło ❤ Sharon Tate jest nieśmiertelna
What does the Catholic Church officially say historically about masturbation? Separate out what Theologians say. Before PERSONA HUMANA, what is there? PERSONA HUMANA: "Whatever the force of certain arguments of a biological and philosophical nature, which have sometimes been used by theologians, in fact both the Magisterium of the Church - in the course of a constant tradition - and the moral sense of the faithful have declared without hesitation that masturbation is an intrinsically and seriously disordered act." I cannot find that the above paragraph is true, and I have spent some time looking. The references it gives I can't find either. 19. Cf. Leo IX, letter "Ad splendidum nitentis," in the year 1054 DS 687-688, decree of the Holy Office, March 2nd, 1679: DS 2149; Pius XII, "Allocutio," Oct 8th, 1953 AAS 45 (1953), pp. 677-678; May 19th, 1956 AAS 48 (1956), pp. 472-473. Truth must be clear. What it now says, is anything but clear. In contrast Song of Solomon, Chapter 5. Vs 2. I slept, but my heart was awake. Listen! my beloved is knocking. Vs 5. I arose to open to my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, upon the handles of the bolt. (It is about him in between those verses.) Something else you need to know about this girl in chapter 5. Who is she? Chap 1:8 “fairest among women,” Chap 4:7 ‘You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.’ Chap 5:2 “flawless” Chap 5:9 “O fairest among women” Chap 6:9 "... perfect,... pure,... blessed..." Chapter 6:11 identifies her as a Shulammite. The meaning of the name is “From the verb שלם (shalem), to be or make whole or complete” - getting out of bed with her hand dripping with 'myrrh' - she was masturbating herself. It means sexual purity includes being about to masturbate oneself. I have to conclude that the Church, properly, leaves masturbation to ones individual judgement, that its prohibition since PERSONA HUMANA, is an infiltration from outside God's honest truth.
PS I found www.youtube.com/@UnchartedCatholicMan, also asking this question.
"The mindless excesses of a society gone mad." Perfect. Seeing this tomorrow for the 45th anniversary!
26:50
Crappy effects, crappy budgets but the results are so damn good. Modern directors should be forced to make a low budget masterpiece before getting their hands on hundreds of dollars.
Same mall from Fast Times in Ridgemont High and the mall from Night of the Comet.
0:46 This actress is also in Night of the Comet.
Puts me in mind of poiseoideoin Adventure without the bikes!
Enslaved right now! Hitting some Moon Drop as I write this.
Just a really delightful movie. The dialogue is masterclass.
This was the era of Prohibition. It didn't go over well.
Nice Eating Raul cameo!
I went to this in the theatre with a co-worker. He didn't get Bill Murray's style of comedy, but I was in stitches, especially after I made the connection with the Bowie songs. Ranks alongside Spinal Tap as the funniest movie I've seen in the last 40 years.
This is movie making at its best, not only entertaining but educational.
